The interaction of moist air masses with the heat of the canyon often makes for some unusual cloud formations. This looked like a gigantic mushroom cloud over the north rim caught my attention. Seen from Yaki Point. Nikon Z7, 28mm, 1/200s, f/14, ISO 400, exposure bracketed
This pano shot was taken near Yavapai Point. The canyon and the cloud bank along the North Rim were softened by a slight amount of smoky haze from the distant wildfires in California.
Located in the Aosta valley near Couermayer, Italy is this gem of a waterfall. Easily accessible and a joy to observe, but rather tricky to photograph. The Rutor river descends down through a valley from a glacier much higher up. There are three excellent cascades, of which this is the first to be seen on the trail. Nikon D850, 23mm, 1/100s at f/8.0, ISO 125.
