The small village of Ophir is the gateway to this dramatic shelf road that leads up to Ophir Pass. The road is a tense shortcut between Telluride and Silverton. The fall colors helped highlight the orange-pink colors in the valley walls. Nikon Z7, 112mm, 1/1000s, f/8.0, ISO 400
We were very lucky to hit some peak fall color on this drive over Owl Creek Pass. The mountainsides were just tapestries of color. I would have liked to have been there later in the day for some softer light, but this late morning light just made the colors shine.
